Dorm Sisters is a global organization that empowers college women to achieve social and financial stability by providing a network of support, development tools, grants and gifting. The network of Dorm Sisters serves girls ages 18-30 at more than 1,500 sites in 350 cities across the United States and Canada. In partnership with schools and universities, Dorm Sisters also advocates for legislation and policies to increase opportunities and rights for all girls.
Dorms Sisters are advocates and changemakers; ambitious students and dedicated teachers; inspiring artists and seasoned policymakers; resilient mothers and feminist fathers; community organizers and business leaders. We come from many countries and backgrounds, but our differences are not nearly as important as what we share—a belief that every girl, no matter where she is born, deserves to be educated, respected, and heard.
We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
Dorm Sisters sponsors girls' education, housing and living necessities, giving them the chance to graduate from a secondary school.
Our vision is a world where every girl chooses her own future. Too often, girls are denied an education, told who and when to marry, and blocked from leadership. Educated and respected girls are the exception, not the norm.
This must change.
